About
A mortal mark, made by a single hand.
I'm a self-taught painter working in oil, ink, and acrylic. My pieces are slow, built up over weeks in thin glazes and heavy impasto, then cut back with a knife until something honest is left.
The work lives somewhere between abstraction and figuration. I'm drawn to the moment a room turns from gold to grey, to objects holding more memory than they should, to the colour of breath in winter. I paint motion, emotion, and the tension between what you see and what hides behind the surface.
Every painting on this site is original and made entirely by hand. I don't sell prints.
