Shipping & FAQ
Everything you need to know about purchasing, shipping, framing, commissions, and returns.
Purchasing
Yes. Every painting on this site is one of one - a unique original, signed on the reverse. I do not sell prints, reproductions, or open editions of any kind.
Click 'Enquire' on any available piece, or use the contact form. I'll reply with availability, shipping options, and payment details. Most transactions are handled via secure bank transfer or Stripe.
Studio visits can be arranged by appointment for serious collectors. I'm based in Rock Island, IL. For remote buyers, I can provide additional detail photos and video of the surface texture.
For works over $1,500, I offer a two- or three-payment plan spread over 60-90 days. The painting ships after final payment.
Shipping & Handling
Every painting is studio-packed by hand in custom-fit protection - acid-free tissue, foam corners, and a rigid outer box or crate depending on the size. I pack each one myself.
Yes. I ship worldwide via FedEx or UPS with full insurance and tracking. International customs fees and duties are the responsibility of the buyer.
Shipping is quoted on enquiry based on size, weight, and destination. Domestic US shipping for small/medium works typically runs $40-$120. Large works or international shipments are quoted individually.
Domestic orders ship within 3-5 business days of payment. International orders typically arrive within 7-14 business days depending on customs.
Framing & Care
Paintings are sold unframed unless otherwise noted. The edges are finished and the work can be hung as-is or taken to a local framer. I can recommend framers and styles on request.
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from humidity. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Oil paintings continue to cure for months after completion - avoid touching the surface for the first year.
Commissions
Yes, on a limited basis. I take on a small number each year so each one gets the time it deserves. Commission enquiries start with a conversation about size, palette, and mood.
Commission pricing depends on size and complexity. As a rough guide, expect similar pricing to works of equivalent size in the gallery, plus a 20% commission fee. A deposit of 50% is required to begin.
Most commissions take 4-8 weeks from deposit to completion. I'll share progress photos along the way. I don't rush - the painting is done when it's done.
We discuss your vision thoroughly before I begin. I share in-progress photos so there are no surprises. While I can't offer refunds on completed commissions, I've never had a collector unhappy with the result.
Returns & Policies
For gallery purchases (non-commission), I offer a 14-day return window from delivery. The painting must be returned in its original packing, undamaged. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
Yes. Every painting ships with a signed certificate of authenticity that includes the title, medium, dimensions, and year of completion.
